It’s mid-January, but I think I still get to say, Happy New Year!
Starting immediately, Analog Science Fiction and Fact and Asimov’s Science Fiction magazines are upping their word rates from 7-9 cents per word to 8-10 cents per word for short stories, novelettes, and novellas. Thanks.
After many years of not changing their pay rates, the magazines increased their pay rates from 6-8 cents to 7-9 cents per words in November 2012 (see this article). Now, a scant 14 months later, they’re doing it again.
