The nominees for the 2013 Scribe Awards (the seventh iteration of this award), presented by the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers (IAMTW), have been announced. The Scribe Awards “acknowledge and celebrate excellence in licensed tie-in writing—novels based on TV shows, movies, and games.” The winners will be announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in July.

Apparently, the organization has dropped two categories from last year’s count of five. They combined the speculative and general fiction best original novel categories, and dropped the young adult novel catgory. This year’s nominees are:
