Pocket Books/Simon & Schuster To Continue Publishing Star Trek Novels

A press release from Mark Karges on behalf of CBS Consumer Products:
Star Trek fans will soon have a lot to stack on their bookshelves this year thanks to a raft of new deals signed by CBS Consumer Products with leading publishing houses.
Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, will continue their successful partnership with CCP through a renewal agreement that will grant Pocket Books rights to publish Star Trek novels in print and electronic formats. Under the agreement, Pocket Books will produce original novels across all Star Trek series, including The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. Over the past 33 years, Simon & Schuster has published close to 1,000 titles helping to extend the Star Trek mythos to millions of fans worldwide.
Agreements with Harry N. Abrams, becker&mayer! and Cider Mill Press will introduce a broad selection of titles, ranging from a new entry in the bestselling 365 series to a collection of the best quotes from The Next Generation.
These publishing deals follow the announcements of becker&mayer! and 47North’s Star Trek Federation: The First 150 Years coming this November.
“We’re always looking for creative partners to give Star Trek fans stunning new products,” said Liz Kalodner, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products. “These books offer all-new material for fans to enjoy the franchise and are going to make ideal gifts this holiday season.”
Descriptions of the current and upcoming publishing titles for 2012 are as follows:
