Laura Anne Gilman shares news of the success of her Kickstarter project to prequelize to her Vineart War trilogy. “From Whence You Came,” a Lands Vin novella, will be funded on Monday 2 January 2012. At press time, 113 people have pledged financial support to get the project off the ground, in amounts ranging from $5 (33 people) up to $250 (two people) and $500 (one person), for a total of $4,120. But there’s still room for more, and Gilman reminds would-be supporters that the one who “tips us over $3750, or be the one to take us all the way to $4,000, gets your ‘bonus’ bumped up a level! (If you hit it at the $500 all-this-AND-cookies level I will… come up with something brilliant.)”
