Editor Michael Knost is now reading for a new anthology, to be called Dark Trails. What’s he looking for? “Stories should be set as a weird western or dark western. Regardless of your use of ‘weird’ or ‘dark’ in the story, the main focus must be with the fact that is it a western first.”
He’s reading stories up to 7,500 words, offering “pro rate, plus percentage of shared royalties.” He expects publication in 2013, though he doesn’t yet have a publisher lined up. Submissions are due by 1 June 2012. Full guidelines and submission address are on this page.
