Actor Peter Falk suffering from Alzheimer’s

According to Reuters, Emmy-winner Peter Falk is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, according to his daughter, Catherine, who filed court documents asking to put his affairs under her conservatorship. The 81-year-old actor is best known for his scruffy detective television alter ego, Columbo. Falk also played the grandfather narrating the story in The Princess Bride, and appeared in a 1961 episode of The Twilight Zone. He was the first actor to be nominated for both an Oscar and an Emmy in the same year (1961).
