The Book Report Network (BRN)—a group of eight websites about books and authors that have become gathering places for a devoted community since 1996—announces the impending launch of its newest web site, Graphic Novel Reporter. The newest BRN site, scheduled to launch later this month, will “capitalize on the exploding format of graphic novels, including manga and the serious literary consideration this format is receiving at this time. The website will include reviews and interviews as well as news, opinions, blogs, bestseller and ‘Best Of’ lists, and Books Into Movies and Books Into Movies on DVD features, all written with the voice and tone that have become the signature of The Book Report Network and its flagship website, Bookreporter.com.”
The new site will be edited by John Hogan, who had been the editor of Pages magazine. Hogan is a lifetime fan of comics and graphic novels.
BRN already includes BookReporter.com, AuthorsOnTheWeb.com, AuthorYellowPages.com, FaithfulReader.com, ReadingGroupGuides.com, TeenReads.com, and KidsReads.com. The sites provide “thoughtful book reviews, compelling features, in-depth author profiles and interviews, excerpts of the hottest new releases, literary games and contests, and more.”
