We haven’t updated Howard Waldrop’s condition in quite a while, so it is with some pleasure that we report Ellen Datlow’s report that “Howard Waldrop is fishing.” Specifically, she says he’s visiting his sister in Mississippi, and planning to return to Texas in November for eye surgery. Her comments sound like very good improvement, even unto the fact that Waldrop is back to writing.
