The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art is sponsoring the MoCCA Art Festival 2008 on Saturday and Sunday, 7 and 8 June, at the Puck Building (293 Lafayette at Houston) in New York City. The Festival will be open from 11AM to 6PM each day. Admission is $10 each day, or $15 for a weekend pass.
Guests will include animators, cartoonists, graphic artists, and writers, in a variety of programming, presentation, and exhibits. The full programming schedule is available on this page.
And in tandem with the festival, New York University’s Institue for the Humanities, in concert with MoCCA, is sponsoring “Post-Bang: Comics Ten Minutes After the Big Bang!” on Friday 6 June. This event will feature roundtables and presentations on “key trends and debates facing comics in this new, ‘post-bang’ environment.” This day’s activities will be at NYU’s Cantor Film Center, 36 East 8 Street.
