Copyright Office seeking to change method of registration

The US Copyright Office has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, which will modify the way it accepts group registrations of individual works. The proposed change would affect writers of short works which they group and register collectively: it would require electronic registration.
The change is still being considered, and comments on it will be accepted until 30 May 2008. For far more information on the proposal, see this entry in the Federal Register.
