Richard Morgan‘s Black Man (published by Gollancz) won this year’s Arthur C. Clarke Award. The juried award, which includes a prize of £2008, is “the most prestigious award for science fiction in Britain.”
As was the case last year, the award announcement was part of the opening ceremonies of Sci-Fi-London 7:: The Seventh Annual International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film.
More information on the award, as well as the short list from which the winner was chosen, appeared in this article in March.
Amended: Ellen Asher writes to remind us that the book was published in the US under the title Thirteen by Del Rey. Thanks, Ellen.
