Warren Fahy sells debut novel to Bantam for six figures

Warren Fahy sold Fragment (his debut novel) and a second book to Vice President Kate Miciak at Bantam via agent Peter H. McGuigan at Foundry for “a substantial six-figure preemptive offer,” according to Publishers Weekly. The environmental thriller is “about a reality television show that lands on an unexplored island only to discover that the first cataclysmic invasion of Earth may not come from outside our planet, but within.” Bantam expects to publish it in Summer 2009, and they’ll bring out the sequel a year later.
Fahy is the lead writer for robot and entertainment products manufacturer Wowwee. He is also the author of the article “Ancient History of the Mullet,” which appeared in the Beastie Boys’ magazine Grand Royal, and he was the lead writer for Rock Star Games’ “Red Dead Revolver.”
