Gordon Van Gelder reports that Chilean sf author Hugo Correa died on 23 March 2008. Born in 1926, he published stories in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (“The Last Element” in April 1962 and “Alter Ego” in July 1967) and in New Dimensions.
His novels include Los altisimos (1951), El que merodea en la lluvia (1962), Alguien mora en el viento (The Prowler in the Rain, 1966), Los titeres (The Puppets, 1969), Cuando Pilato se Opuso (When Pilate Said No, 1971), Los ojos del diablo (1972), El Nido de las Furias (1980), and Donde acecha la serpiente (1988).
