Lesbian Ghost Story Anthology Seeking Submissions

Catherine Ludoff is editing Haunted Hearths: Lesbian Ghost Stories (at least, that’s the working title), which Lethe Press will publish in 2008.
She’s looking for “fantasy, sf, paranormal romance, and horror”—not specifically erotica—that fits this description: “What does a lesbian bring on a second date? We’ve all heard the joke. But what happens when the supernatural intervenes? Haunted Hearths will be an anthology of stories about the scarier side of lesbian commitment. I’m looking for ghost stories that make me shiver; a domestic haunting (broadly defined) of some sort is a must. Humor is encouraged too.”
Ludoff is accepting queries, in order to “avoid a lot of plot overlap,” and offering 2 cents per word for 3,000-5,000 word-stories. “There may be an additional bonus payment from the publisher if the anthology makes it to the shortlist (or wins) a Lambda Literary Award, a Spectrum or equivalent.” Deadline is 1 November. Please start with a query to anthocl@visi.com.
