Author Gerry Perkins Dies

Author Gerald Reed “Gerry” Perkins died of 30 March 2007 at the age of 62. He had massive systemic cancer, which was discovered while he was on life support following a stroke.
He was a satellite control engineer, a photographer, and an artist. His short fiction appeared in Aboriginal SF, two volumes of the Sword and Sorceress anthology series, and The Ultimate Dragon.
Perkins had been a long-time resident of the San Francisco bay area, and active in the sf community there until his retirement two years ago, when he moved to Washington. His body will be cremated and the ashes placed with those of his father in Minnesota. There will be memorials at at BayCon and NorWesCon. He is survived by his mother, Lorraine, and his brothers, David & Douglas.
