Diamond Book Distributors has signed two new clients—Aurora Publishing and Desperado Publishing—for whom they’ll be distributing English-language editions of graphic novels to the bookstore, library, warehouse, mass merchandise, specialty mass merchandise, hobby, game, and comic book specialty markets.
Aurora, a subsidiary of Japanese publishing giant Ohzora, was founded last year in Los Angeles. Before forming Aurora, Ohzora had licensed its manga to companies such as Dark Horse and Digital Manga. With Aurora, they’ll be keeping the American market in house.
Joe Pruett formed Desperado in 2004 as “an outlet for passionate creators to see their creative visions and inspirations brought to life on the printed page.” They focus primarily on
recognized and established talent.
