I’m pleased to announce that I’ve optioned TV rights to my triple-Aurora-Award-winning WWW trilogy of WAKE, WATCH, and WONDER to Toronto’s Fresh TV, a production company with a fantastic track record in the young-adult-television marketplace in both the US and Canada.
The current TV series title is WAKE — the same as the Hugo Award-nominated first book.
I’m attached as Executive Producer, and if we get a pilot order from a broadcaster, I’ll be writing the pilot script, and I will also be part of the writing room if the show is picked up for a series. My deal was negotiated by Matt Kennedy of Vince Gerardis’s Created By in Los Angeles.
We’re a long way from filming, and there’s no guarantee this will ever get made, but this is an important step, and I’m thrilled to be working with these guys.
