A press release from Loncon 3:

Loncon 3, the 2014 World Science Fiction Convention, invites photographers of all ages to enter their visions of the future in a science fiction-themed photography competition.

The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers. In addition to cash prizes for the winning entries, they will be displayed at Loncon 3, which is being held at the ExCeL exhibition centre, London Docklands, from 14-18 August 2014.

The three competition categories are:

– Alien Earth

– Future Cities Today

– Junior (open to anyone under 16, on any science fiction or fantasy theme)

The entry fee is £10 for the senior categories and £2 for the junior category.

The cash prizes for each of the senior categories are:

– First prize: £100

– Second prize: £50

– Third prize: £25

In the junior category, the cash prizes are:

– First prize: £50

– Second prize: £30

– Third prize: £20

Any prize winners who are not members of the convention will also be awarded a free day admission to Loncon 3 for Sunday 17 August 2014.

To enter the competition, submit your photographs to photography@loncon3.org, with relevant information about yourself (including your age if you are entering in the Junior category) and about the photographs. The administrator will contact you to confirm receipt of your entries and provide information about paying the appropriate entry fee.
