The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced this year’s Golden Globe Award nominations, the 71st in the award’s history. The award ceremony takes place at 8PM EST (5PM PST) on 12 January 2014 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and will be telecast live on NBC.
Two years ago, seven sf/f/h films and three television programs combined for 14 nominations in 25 categories. Last year, it was eight films and two TV programs taking 11 nominations. This year, we’re down to a scant six films and one TV program, but 13 nominations. It’s a really tough award for an sf film….
