The Lambda Literary Foundation last night announced the winners of their 25th annual Lambda Literary Awards. More than 90 judges (including writers, booksellers, librarians, and professors) chose more than 100 finalists in 24 categories, based on LGBT content and quality of writing.

Of particular interest to our readers is the category “LGBT Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror”, which had seven nominees:

Chocolatiers of the High Winds: A Gay Steampunk Romance by H.B. Kurtzwilde (Clasp Editions; An Imprint of Circlet Press)

Heiresses of Russ 2012: the Year’s Best Lesbian Speculative Fiction edited by Connie Wilkins and Steve Berman (Lethe Press)
In the Now by Kelly Sinclair (Blue Feather Books)
Night Shadows: Queer Horror edited by Greg Herren and J.M. Redmann (Bold Strokes Books)
The Survivors by Sean Eads (Lethe Press)
