British author Dan Morgan dies

Andrew Porter alerts us to the fact that British sf author (and guitarist) Dan Morgan died 4 November 2011, although “his death was not noted until late last week.” Born 24 December 1925 in Lincolnshire, England, he was active from the 1950s to the 1970s, although his ISFDb bibliography does list a new story appearing in a 2003 anthology.

Morgan may be best known for his “[[[Sixth Perception]]]” novels (published between 1967 and 1975, they feature a group of people linked with telepathy to solve problems), the three “[[[Venturer Twelve]]]” space operas (1968-1973) he co-wrote with John Kippax (1915-1974), and the comic novel [[[The Richest Corpse in Show Business]]] (1967).
