Membership rates for LoneStarCon 3, the 71st World Science Fiction Convention, will increase from January 1, 2013.
– Full Adult Attending membership rates will increase from $180 to $200
– The cost of converting from Adult Supporting to Adult Attending membership will increase from $120 to $140
– The special Family Rate for two adults plus two or more dependent children will increase from $480 to $520.
As part of the convention’s policy to encourage families and children to attend LoneStarCon 3, the following attending membership rates will remain unchanged:
– Children (0-16 years old) at $75
– Young Adults (17-21) at $110.
All of these membership rates will be valid through April 30, 2013.
LoneStarCon 3 is also offering a military discount rate of $110, which will not be subject to future increases. Child and Young Adult rates are based on the person’s age as of August 29, 2013.

LoneStarCon 3 will be held August 29 through September 2, 2013, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Marriott Rivercenter and Marriott Riverwalk will serve as the host hotels. This marks the first time since 1997 that the Alamo City has hosted a Worldcon, when LoneStarCon 2 drew thousands to the downtown convention center.
The Guests of Honor for LoneStarCon 3 are Ellen Datlow, James Gunn, Norman Spinrad, and Willie Siros. Paul Cornell will serve as Toastmaster, and our Special Guests are Leslie Fish and Joe R. Lansdale. Artist Guest of Honor, Darrell K. Sweet, passed away December 5, 2011, and will be honored in memoriam.
