Actor George Murdock Dies

Actor George Murdock died of cancer on 30 April 2012. Born in Salina, Kansas, on 25 June 1930, he was a radio, stage, and film and television actor. His most memorable roles may be as recurring characters Lt. Scanlon on Barney Miller and Dr. Salik on the original Battlestar Galactica, or as the God being in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, or Admiral Hanson in the Star Trek: The Next Generation two-parter “The Best of Both Worlds”.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy, and a step-daughter.
