The man with the hammer kept pounding away, as Thor held onto the #1 spot on the charts for a second week, pounding down $45.2 million, for a two-week total of $129.9 million. Bridesmaids opened at #2. Priest opened at #4, slaying $19.1 million. Rio held strong at #5, flying away with $10.0 million (just a feather less than last week’s $10.3 million), for a five-week total of $127.0 million.
Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil slipped #10 to #11, kidnapping $1.4 million, for a three-week total of $8.8 million. Insidious slipped from #11 to #12, taking in $1.2 million, for a seven-week total of $52.0 million. Source Code slipped from #12 to #13, arresting $1.1 million, for a seven-week total of $52.5 million. Hanna slipped from #14 to #17, slaying $850 thousand, for a six-week total of $38.9 million. Limitless fell from #19 to #23, earning $500 thousand, for a nine-week total of $77.7 million. Hop slipped from #23 to #25, finding $500 thousand, for a seven-week total of $106.9 million.

Scream 4 (last week’s #15) in its fifth week in release (box office total: $37.6 million)
Rango (last week’s #25) in its eleventh week in release (box office total: $120.8 million)
