This has been a slow week for SFScope, because it’s been an incredibly busy week for the SFScope staff. The public things that kept us offline were mostly Book Expo America: the annual trade show where the publishers all gather to show their upcoming titles to booksellers and the press (we were there as the press, and we’ll be talking about some of the fascinating things we saw in upcoming days).
And now we’re headed off to Balticon, a four-day convention in metro-Baltimore (Hunt Valley, Maryland, to be exact). As usual, we’ll be spending a lot of the weekend at the Fantastic Books table in the dealers’ room. But programming has also massively booked me for panels and such, so I’ll be on eight of them over the weekend. My schedule is here.
Needless to say, we don’t expect any SFScope updates over the weekend (of course, saying that usually guarantees a big story that we’ll have to say something about). The convention runs through Monday, which is a holiday in the US, so we’re officially signing off until Tuesday. Have a good weekend!
