After many stops and starts, and much backing and filling (which we tended to ignore here, because, well, it happens in the movie industry), E! Online is reporting that director Peter Jackson started principal photography on his two-film prequel The Hobbit. Filming is taking place at the Stone Street Studios in Wellington, New Zealand.
Jackson today posted pictures of himself in Bilbo’s home on his Facebook page.
The first movie is currently scheduled to be release late next year.
