37th Annual Saturn Award Nominees

Steven H Silver beat us to the punch. Actually, he appears to have even scooped the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, & Horror Films’ own web site with the list of nominees for the 37th annual Saturn Awards, so we’re taking the list from him. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in June.
This year, according to Silver, the Academy has added a fourth major category of awards: Stage Presentation, to go along with the customary three of Film, Television, and DVD. The 33 categories are still heavily tilted toward film, which has 17 of them.
In the film categories, 44 different productions received nominations. The leader is Inception, with nine nominations, followed by Let Me In and Tron: Legacy, with seven each. In the television categories, 20 different productions received nominations. The leader is The Walking Dead< with six nominations, followed by Breaking Bad, Fringe, and Lost, with five each.
Special award recipients, if any, will be announced later.
The Academy was founded in 1972 to honor and recognize genre filmmaking. Over the years, the Academy has expanded their reach to include other film genres. The organization also honors television, and home entertainment.
