John Goldmisth/AIP Entertainment option Randall Garrett’s “Lord Darcy” novels

Agent Joshua Bilmes reports the sale of an option on film rights. Specifically, “film rights to the Lord Darcy novels have been optioned by Australian producers AIP Entertainment in conjunction with British screenwriter John Goldsmith.”
Randall Garrett (1927-87) wrote the Lord Darcy stories over two decades, starting with 1964’s “The Eyes Have It.” His Lord Darcy novel Too Many Magicians was nominated for the 1967 Hugo Award, and the entire Lord Darcy series won the 1999 Sidewise Award for Special Achievement.
