Sizemore also tells us he’s hired a new editor. Specifically, “Catherynne Valente has accepted the position of Fiction Editor of Apex Magazine. Catherynne’s accomplishments as a writer are astounding. She is a 2009 Hugo Award nominee for her novel Palimpsest. Her online novel Fairyland is a 2009 nominee for the Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy. Catherynne has been a World Fantasy Award nominee. She has won the Mythopoeic Award, the James Tiptree Jr. Award, the Rhysling, and the Million Writers Award.
