Dean Koontz sells three new Frankenstein novels to Bantam

Publishers Weekly is reporting that Dean Koontz sold three new Frankenstein novels to Tracy Devine at Bantam Books. The first, Lost Souls, is scheduled to appear in hardcover in May 2010. The second and third books will appear in May 2011 and May 2012.
PW says the books will “begin a new story cycle” in the series that debuted in 2005 with Prodigal Son and City of Night. The previous books have all been paperback originals, though the most recent, Dead and Alive debuted this July at the top of the New York Times bestseller list.
The new book “will pick up where Dead and Alive left off, with the setting moving to the American West and a new villain arriving on the scene.”
Bantam publisher Nita Taublib told PW the house plans to take the new books in the series “to an even wider audience.”
