DreamWorks Animation optioned A. Lee Martinez‘s Gil’s All Fright Diner. Sarah Self of The Gersh Agency handled the deal, on behalf of Martinez’s literary agent Sally Harding. Barry Sonnenfeld (The Addams Family, Men in Black, and Pushing Daisies) is already attached to direct.
The novel, Martinez’s first, is “about two road-trip buddies (a vampire and a werewolf) who stop at a diner for a quick bite to eat and are offered a hundred dollars to take care of the café owner’s zombie problem.”
