Eric Marin, editor and publisher of Lone Star Stories, announced today that “I no longer have a sustainable interest in publishing Lone Star Stories. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to publish the webzine for five-and-a-half years, and I really appreciate all of the support I’ve received from editors, authors, and readers. (Thank you, everyone!) However, I just feel the need to take a break from the publishing arena. (It’s not a matter of money or time—just a sense that I’ve reached a good end point.)”
He does say that the web site will remain up “for the foreseeable future”, and that he’s not completely ruling out resurrecting the ‘zine at some point in the future. Lone Star Stories is, or now was, a “bimonthly webzine of speculative fiction and poetry.”
