The New York Anime Festival is hosting a “Super Para Natural Manga Day” this Sunday, 17 May, at New York City’s Kinokuniya Bookstore (1073 Avenue of the Americas). It will be “a day of events celebrating the creepy, spooky, and cool side of Japanese comics and animation.”
The schedule of events includes:
11AM: Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody screening
1PM: “Vampires in Manga” presentation by performance group Alone Together NYC
2PM: Ghost Hunt screening
3PM: Del Rey Manga presentation
4PM: D.Gray-Man screening
5PM: Samurai Beat Radio Broadcast
6PM: Boogiepop Phantom screening
7PM: Raffle (winners must be present). Prizes include: 50 books from Del Rey Manga; five Bleach prize packages from VIZ Media; Death Note posters and pins; two tickets to the Vamps NYC concert; Boogiepop Phantom and The Third: The Girl with The Blue Eye sets; Vampire Hunter D busts, artbooks, figurines, novels, and manga
