Steven H Silver on SF Site reminds us that the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) announced the results of their annual elections during the Nebula Awards weekend. This year, there were no contested elections, so voting was unnecessary.
All of the officers (who serve one-year terms) were running unopposed for re-election, as was the serving Western Regional Director (regional directors serve three-year terms). The “re-elected” are:
President: Russell Davis
Vice-President: Elizabeth Moon
Secretary: Mary Robinette Kowal
Treasurer: Amy Casil
SFWA Western Regional Director: Jim Fiscus
There was no candidate for the position of Overseas Regional Director, so the Board will have to appoint to fill that position.
The Canadian, Eastern, and South/Central regional directors continue in their terms. They are, respectively, Chris Atack, Bud Sparhawk, and Paul Melko.
