Variety reports that ABC has scheduled the final three episodes of Pushing Daisies to air, starting 30 May. The episodes will air at 10PM on Saturday nights through 13 June. Can you imagine a more dead timeslot than Saturday night at ten? Talk about your graveyard. I don’t think even Ned could resurrect that timeslot. Naturally, I will be reviewing all three episodes.
Variety says “Saturday—the night with traditionally the lowest HUT (or homes using TV) levels—thus becomes ‘Night of the Living Dead’ Theater, burning off remaining episodes of programs that have already been canceled.” Following Pushing Daisies, they’ll run the last episodes of Eli Stone and then Dirty Sexy Money.
Variety goes on to say that, “for those who can’t wait for ABC, series creator Bryan Fuller will present the final episodes of Pushing Daisies at the upcoming Los Angeles Paley Festival,” on 19 April at 1PM.
According to the Paley Center, Fuller will introduce a screening of all three unaired episodes, “Window Dressed to Kill,” “Water and Power”, and “Kerplunk”. Tickets (in the first four rows) are $60, or $45 for the rest of the house. Full details, and a link to buy tickets, are on this page.
