Don Sakers to be new book reviewer for Analog

It’s been a long time coming (see this article from last May), but Editor Stanley Schmidt has finally announced Tom Easton‘s successor as the book reviewer for Analog Science Fiction and Fact: Don Sakers. Sakers is a writer, editor, and reviewer who, for his day job, is a “Library Associate” at the Anne Arundel County Public Library (his Wikipedia entry is here). Sakers is taking over “The Reference Library” immediately, and has already begun work.
Easton wrote 341 columns, the last of which appeared in the December 2008 issue of Analog. Since then, several potential replacements have auditioned with “Guest Reference Library” columns (including SFScope Editor Ian Randal Strock).
