Asylum Press now selling direct to retailers

Asylum Press has begun an official direct-to-retail sales with Fearless Dawn #1. Publisher and CEO Frank Forte says the company took this step “after not meeting Diamond Comic Distribution’s new benchmark of a purchase order in the amount of $2500.00.”
Their terms (to retailers) are 60% discount, Asylum pays shipping, net 30, with no minimums. Retailers should contact Forte directly at asylumpress at aol dot com.
Forte explains “Although we received 1,200 orders for Fearless Dawn #1, we simply didn’t meet Diamond’s purchase order benchmark. 1,200 is a significant order for us, especially considering the state of the market place. Good customer service is the key to any successful business and we simply cannot deny demand for our products. [Creator] Steve Mannion is a master at hilarious in-your-face fun, and we expect this book to do quite well.” The issue is at the printer, and should be released the end of April. The book will also be listed in Haven Distributors‘s May catalog, for shipping in June.
Asylum synopsizes the story: “Jet-riding good girl Fearless Dawn battles her arch nemesis Helga Von Krause in this mini-series from Steve Mannion. Fearless Dawn infiltrates the vaunted ‘Manitoba Sector’ to discover the secret behind Helga’s chemically-induced Nazi Monsters. Meanwhile, all is not well back at home base when Fearless Dawn’s boss discovers our hero has broken probation and flown the coop.” A preview is available at www.FearlessDawn.com.
