David Robbins post-apocalyptic Endworld to be reborn

David Robbins‘s post-apocalyptic Endworld series debuted with The Fox Run in 1986. The 27th (and, to date, last) book in the series was 1991’s Chicago Run. He did also write a 13-volume sequel series called Blade. Now, Eric Galloway of Dorchester Publishing tells us that her company is bringing Endworld back into print “with repackaged editions of the post-apocalyptic novels readers fell in love with. To start things off, author David Robbins has written an all-new original novel, Endworld: Doomsday, to serve as a prequel to the rest of the series.” The prequel novel will be out in April 2009.
“In Endworld: Doomsday, after everything they know is destroyed in a nuclear holocaust, filmmaker Kurt Carpenter and the remaining survivors must carve out a new place for themselves in a harsh, unforgiving new world full of terrifying possibilities. This book is a lot of fun and anyone who previously read the series or anyone who just enjoys a good post-apocalyptic tale are sure to find it a great read.”
Robbins has written a wide variety of genres—horror, western, science fiction, adventure, and historical fiction—and has published more than 130 books. He has written for the following series: The Trailsman, Mack Bolan, Blade, Wilderness, White Apache, Davy Crockett, Omega Sub, and The Hardy Boys.

I am one of the lucky fans who got one of the 25 Advanced Reader Copies of the new prequel to the ENDWORLD series, DOOMSDAY!! Not only is the book a lot of fun as you mentioned, but it is face-paced with cliffhangers galore and all the things David Robbins’ fans have come to expect. DOOMSDAY is a chilling fictional account of how the “Home” came to be in a post World War III era. It reads like the news which curently could make a DOOMSDAY like this a horrifying reality!
There are some pretty cool characters. For those who know of ‘Thor’, they might find Soren Anderson one of those characters who stands out.
ENDWORLD rocks!! Being an established fan of that series and knowing a lot of other fans we are all saying, ‘at last’! Thanks to Dorchester Publishing Company for making it possible and to David Robbins who is an awesome writer!
