The Return of the Roundtable Awards

The Chronic Rift, the New York City public access television talk show about sf/f/h which was itself recently reincarnated as a regular podcast program (see this article), is now bringing back another of its features: the Roundtable Awards.
John S. Drew writes: “The Chronic Rift has always prided itself for its celebration of the science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comic art genres with its news, reviews, interviews, and discussion. We continue that celebration with our Roundtable Award ceremony. This is a tradition from the days of the public access show. We need your help in order for this to work.” They are accepting nominations/votes in 26 categories until 30 January 2009. “Any material released in the calendar years 2008 is eligible.” Votes can be submitted as comments on this page, via e-mail to Drew at john at cronicrift dot com, or via TCR‘s Facebook page.
Making sure the award wasn’t taken too seriously, the original “trophy” was a plastic pizza box spacer (it looks sort of like a round table) atop a ball of styrofoam.
