Television director and producer Kim Manners died 25 January 2009 in Los Angeles, California; he had been suffering from lung cancer. At the time of his death, he was executive producing Supernatural. Previously, he produced The X Files.
Manners made his television name as a director, working on Harsh Realm, M.A.N.T.I.S., The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., K-9000, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Automan.
