British actor Edmund Purdom died 1 January 2009 at his home in Rome, Italy. Born 19 December 1924 in Hertfordshire, England, he made his stage debut in 1945, moved to Italy in the 1960s, and spent many years as a voice dubbing actor, translating European (mostly Italian) movies into English.
