Top Box Office Grossers: First Week of November

Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 31 October-6 November 2008. Saw V dropped from #2 to #4, but remains the top sf/f/h movie this week, taking in $12.4 million, for a two-week total of $48.1 million. The Haunting of Molly Hartley opened at #5, grossing $6.7 million.
Quarantine dropped from #10 to #15, bringing in another $1.5 million, for a four-week total of $31.2 million. The new release of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D dropped from #24 to #25, taking in $400 thousand, for a two week total of just under $1 million.
