The second episode of the recently reborn The Chronic Rift, entitled “The Evolution of Horror”, is now available for download from iTunes, the show’s own web site, or podOmatic. In this episode, “Just in time for Halloween, we discuss the continuing evolution of the horror genre with Meat author Joseph D’Lacey and critic Paul K. Bisson. Plus we have reviews on the Greywalker book series, the Spider-Man reboot, the movie Appaloosa, the video game Resident Evil 4, and the DVD release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Orenthal Hawkins presents his new rules of Geekdom and we release the results of our Doctor Who poll.”
Keith R.A. DeCandido notes that, due to the press of deadlines, he was unable to participate in this show. But he’ll “be leading next month’s discussion of Doctor Who. And I’m planning for the next installment of ‘Couch Potato Salad’ to review Heroes.”
