Hannu Rajaniemi sells German rights to three unwritten books

Agent John Jarrold follows up this remarkable three-book deal announcement with the news that German rights for all three of Hannu Rajaniemi‘s first three books (again, based only on those 24 pages, and the news of the British sale) were “pre-empted for a good five-figure sum in Euros at the Frankfurt Book Fair, by Carsten Polzin of Piper Verlag.”
Jarrold said, “This is wonderful. I know Carsten well and respect him greatly. He and Piper will do a great job with these novels—Hannu and I are both delighted.”
Other offers for Rajaniemi’s novels from publishers across Europe are also being discussed by Gollancz‘s Rights department.
