Tickets are now available for the 2008 New York Anime Festival, which will be 26-28 September in Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Convention Center. Show hours are 12N-10PM Friday, 10AM-10PM Saturday, and 10AM-4PM Sunday (the exhibit hall will close at 6PM on Friday and Saturday, but panels and screenings will continue until 10PM). Tickets are available for individual days ($35 for Friday or Sunday, $40 for Sautrday), or a weekend pass is available for $55. There are also group discounts, if one purchases at least 10 tickets.

The NYAF, organized by Reed Exhibitions, “showcases the best of anime pop culture, including the latest anime, manga, Japanese cinema, music, and games, and anime-influenced comics, animation, and films from around the world. The festival features exclusive and extensive screenings, a gala cosplay masquerade, sessions with the some of the biggest names in anime from Japan, Asia, and America, and explores the Japanese cultural experience with displays of both traditional and cutting-edge Japanese life.” Guests of Honor will include Yoshitaka Amano, Hideyuki Kikuchi, and Rie Tanaka, a dozen musical guests, and more than 30 featured guests, all listed and detailed on this page.
