Staff change at JABberwocky Literary Agency

Steve Mancino left the JABberwocky Literary Agency at the end of May, in what proprietor Joshua Bilmes calls an amicable parting. Mancino wanted to “focus more on his Philadelphia roots (he moved back to Philly at the start of the year). He sends his very best to all of his clients and he will miss them terribly. And he regrets not being able to see some of the younger new writers he had been working with grow. (He’ll be keeping an eye on the book shelves!) Steve: Catch you all on the flip side. Be well.”
Mancino’s replacement is Eddie Schneider, who is a graudate of the University of Iowa, and a soon-to-be graudate of New York University with a MS in Publishing. Prior to joining JABberwocky, Schneider worked for Folio Literary Management. Schneider is looking for literary fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. He writes “I’m seeking projects with a greater literary emphasis to my tasstes than what Joshua’s would be. I am also seeking YA in all categories.” He also notes that his favorite fantasy novel is Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke; his favorite sf novel is The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury; and his favorite species of duck is muscovy.
