Prometheus Award Winners Announced

Steven H. Silver reports that the winners of this year’s Prometheus Awards have been announced (the award presentations will be on 6 August at the World Science Fiction Convention). The awards, which “recognize pro-freedom novels of speculative fiction or science fiction/fantasy, that dramatizes the value of personal liberty, exposes abuses of coercive power to the extremes of tyranny, offers anti-authoritarian satires or imagines a fully free future,” are sponsored by the Libertarian Futurist Society (LFS).
This year’s winners are a tie, the first in the award’s history:
The Gladiator by Harry Turtledove
Ha’penny by Jo Walton
This year’s Hall of Fame Award goes to A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.
