Five local authors to talk about publishing and their books in Salem

Author Jennifer Pelland writes of a “Local Author Showcase” this Friday at 7PM at Cornerstone Books in Salem, Massachusetts. Five local authors will discuss “the ups and downs of writing and publishing,” as well as present their own books.
The featured authors are Pelland (Unwelcome Bodies, sf collection), Julie Hahnke (Through the Eyes of a Raptor, YA fiction), Janet Spurr (Beach Chair Diaries, memoir), Judy Spurr (Trapped, YA fiction), and Richard Venti (The Doctor’s Dog, fiction).
Cornerstone Books is located at 45 Lafayette Street, Salem, Massachusetts 01970 (978-744-1831), on the first floor of the historic, newly renovated Derby Lofts building. It is a five-minute walk from the Peabody Essex Museum and directly across the street from the Salem Fire Department.
