Steven Silver reports “Just heard from Betty Anne Hull that Algis (AJ) Budrys has died. There will probably be a wake on Friday and the funeral on Saturday.”
The 77-year-old Budrys was an author and editor. He edited Tomorrow Speculative Fiction in the 1990s, and was for many years associated with the Writers of the Future Contest.
