In Dave Duncan‘s Speak to the Devil and its untitled sequel, Anton—one of the four brothers of a Bohemian baron and arguably the least qualified—is unexpectedly given command of a fortress and the prospects are pretty daunting. Agent Richard Curtis sold rights to the books to Liz Gorinsky at Tor.
Speak to the Devil will be Duncan’s 40th novel; he celebrates his 75th birthday on 30 June.
